Need for Speed: Shift

I like the look of this. Although Im a bit sad the open world and police chases are gone this looks like a serious racing game.

The fact that they have added Spa and seem to understand the history and passion makes me think these guys really love racing.

If i hadn't already bought Dirt 2 and been completely satisfied with it i'd certainly have gotten this to quench my driving game thirst. Ahh well something to pick up at a later date.

I'm waiting to see what Forza 3 offers, but this title certainly has my interest. I only anticipate buying one racing game this year, so I'll wait. Maybe by then the going price for this title will have dropped a bit in comparison to the starting price for Forza 3.

I wouldn't advise that. I did the same with Grid & never managed to catch up competitively online. Get it on the day of release or don't bother.

I'm going to rent both on the day of release & see which one's best.

I'll be honest, Forza is the big name here, but I'm quietly confident that Shift will win out. I've had my eye on it for a while. We'll see though.

With not having a 360 for Forza and GT5 arriving (sometime next year...), this is a no brainer to quench the racer thirst on me.

Roll on Friday.

Hmm, some in-game screens would've been nice...

I've been playing it & I think it's s**t!

The handling is all wrong. The cars are so unstable you get a tank slapper going down a straight.

GRID or GT it ain't. Not impressed.

Thanks for the feedback, 3HeadedMonkey. I'll continue playing the waiting game in order to see what the reviews have to say about Forza 3. I may still end up with NFS:Shift...Alternatively there's Dirt 2.
