It's back! It's bigger! But is it better?

Pokmon isn't kids' stuff. When you look past the cards, the cartoon and the Pikachu lunchboxes there's a core game that's one of the most complex and customisable around. Bar the cosmetics, it's also largely unchanged since the series' 1996 beginnings on the original Game Boy, and Pokmon Platinum is just an update of Pokmon Diamond and Pearl, the games that marked the series' debut on DS almost two years ago. Chances are if you've been sucked into the phenomenon you've already played something very similar to this. So does it still work?... read more

Buy three of the cheapest DS games you can find and give them to Gamestation along with 99p and this game is yours. :)

When I was a wee lad I never had a gameboy and so didn't complete my Pokémon obsession at the time.

When I got my first handheld, the DS I bought Pokémon:Emerald (For GBA) for it and have since bought the DS version of Mystery Dungeon as well. I have spent 80 and 50 hours respectively on those games and now it seems this review will cost me a few days of my life. Thanks?

In my eyes, Pokémon games are the only good RPGs. I feel so wrong saying that...

I concour. I never thought I'd enjoy these games as it looks squarly aimed at the kids. But bugger me, I was hooked. Played it for days at a time.

one of the reasons that this is better than diamond/pearl is that u get to watch other peoples battles over wi-fi, but i always see cheaters! once i saw six mews all at level 100. It is soooo unfair to people who don`t cheat when people send out event pokemon who didn`t even have an event yet, are at level 100 and have moves that cant be learnt by their types!
