que expensive plastic skateboard akin to wii balance board.

If you want a decent boarding experience and have said board gathering dust i'd highly reccomend getting a copy of shaun white or skate it on the wii.

LIke pinacolada jellybeans they are quite authentic tasting.

Thank god its getting an overhaul, it peaked with 2 on the Dreamcast and I lost interest after 4, anytime I've ever dipped into a recent title I've been horrifed at the general shitness of it all.

Bring back Tony Hawks with self-enclosed levels and not open world boredom, then I may be interested.

Well designed, focused skate-parks please. Thanks.

Now that's a crossover i'd like to see. Skate around town pulling off huge tricks while simultaneously keeping the soundtrack going by playing guitar.

Wait.. maybe it is a bad idea.

could work with some kind of board periphal and a guitar hero guitar though. hmmmm.

@ Khronik. I think it might be a bit of both.

An interesting bonus mode would be trying to pull off tricks in time with the music. So big sweeping notes while you fly through the air, with a well-timed landing as a crash cymbal hits. Could be good, and would make some nice video footage.

But you know they're just going to steal Skate's control scheme :)

Skateboard hero sounds sick....

I understand they dont wanna let the franchise die but really, ask anybody Skate. shut them down.

I think they should let it go now, its getting a bit embarrassing now.

Be interesting to see what they can pull off here. I loved the first three and still play thps3 on the cube.

If they can get the game back to the roots i'd be interested.
I can't comment on comparisons to skate though as i've not played it yet :(

What are you waiting for? Skate 2 is one of my all time fave games. Nothing comes close to being as rewarding as that game.

I for one preferred (most of) the Tony Hawk games over Skate 1 & 2.

I loved being able to do a 3 billion point combo while jumping over sharks, or helicopters or whatever they decided to throw in.
I was rubbish at Skate. While normally I'd practice until I'm better, but I just found it so dull and couldn't drive myself to play it longer than 5 minutes in.
