Hmm, what can I say?
The first game was absolutely amazing. It's extremely gory, so kids, steer clear of this one, but the rest of you may want to give it a try, if you haven't already done so.
Basically, in short it's a cross breed between Devil May Cry and Prince of Persia, but has an even better battle/fighting system, with multiple mini game styled button mashing moments, and a story so good, that it may just make you wet yourself.
Anyway, I like a challenge with my games, so as soon as I got the original God of War, I thought yep, this'll be a piece of cake (as I'd previously done a few of the prince of persia's on hard with no problem at all), but how wrong could I have been? Seemingly very.
It's incredibly harder than most action/platform/hack-em'ups out there, and where you choose to begin the game on hard, just take note of the word "HARD". It's one of the biggest understatements which I have ever come across in my entire 19 years of gaming life.
It will test your patience to the very extreme, and maybe even make you swear and hit stuff (haha, the best part about this is that you think I'm joking), but don't resort to easy, as it's just not as fulfilling. Make the most out of it and take it at your own pace, as I'm pretty certain that the majority of you will love it.
Anyway, enough about the original (even though it has extremely effective cut-scenes and animations in the fmv's with pleasing shiny effects, and a story which will make you want to play it more and more, until you eventually, after many sore fingers (and possibly even broken controller buttons), finish it.
God of War 2 is on its way out. It looks amazing. It will be amazing. David Jaffe (the person behind this masterpiece of a game) actually thinks that Devil May Cry is better, but I'll leave this one down to you.
Kratos is back in March, so get prepared for another epic adventure (more epic than Mr.T, The Hoff and Chuck Norris in a 3 way brawl - anything goes), and get saving, as I very much doubt that you'll regret your purchase.
Oh and one more thing, Kratos is a mean S.O.B. (The meaning of these initials sharn't be explained due to people of all ages visiting this site.)
Anyway, looks good. Can't wait for it to come out!
