Sega confirms Mario & Sonic Winter Olympics

Postby YCshinobi » 12 Feb 2009, 15:35

We don't want another Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games, Sega. We want to see Mario & Sonic in a platform adventure game. We've seen them race one another, we've seen them fight each other, its time to see them team up together.

Yeah Sega! Mario & Sonic was perfect! There aren't any improvments to be made and sequels never sell anyway.

Wow no way, I totally didn't see this coming
It should be good anyway, I hope this one is a bit less strenuous however and also a bit more about skill.

Makes sense, first Mario/Sonic team up game clearly sold very well, better than i would expect, and it is enjoyable to play.

Fail to see how this is Shovelware! The first game was good and sold really well, so it makes sense to do a second and based on the winter olympics. Hopefully it'll be the first decent and fun winter olympics game to grace a console, so far there mainly boring and to fiddly to play.

After the first game sold about 10 million copies and SEGA got the rights to the Winter Games as well anyone with half a brain saw it coming.

While I admit I got the first game souly as it was Mario and Sonic in the same game I did really enjoy it for the most part. Depending on what games are in this I'll be getting it as well.

This should be fun as the original was surprising good.

I think if they were going to make a Sonic and Mario platformer though i'd rather have Nintendo handle it than sega. or maybe a third party entirely. A Bioware rpgesque crossover would be quite good.

I have to agree that sonic is close to needing killing off mainly due to loads of crap games coming out of sega and flogging the franchise for all its worth. But mario is not getting old, its the one franchise that always updates itself. Mario Galaxy is on of the most original games since, well mario 64.

Sonic is in serious need of a dramatic overhaul. Then again it has never worked amazingly not to say sonic adventure games weren't good but they all just pale in comparison to the 2d ones on the megadrive.

MArio on the other hand has been going from strength to strength. Kind of Hope Mario Sunshine get a wiivamp becasue i think it was unfairly overlooked by a lot of people. and wii controls would really make it shine.
