Capcom: Dead Rising 2 multiplatform?

Postby WHERESMYMONKEY » 28 Jan 2009, 12:01

could of been a misunderstanding. as both Lost Planet and Dead rising are already multiplatform. Having versions on the PS3 and wii respectively.

But i'd be bloody surprised if They didn't make a Dead rising 2. The first one definately left it open for a sequel.

So long as they fix the save system then i'll be one happy camper.

Well capcom did say that they want all their PS3,360 AND PC games to be multiplat so id be suprised if dead rising 2 was a 360 exclusive.

Wouldn't surprise me if those games went multiformat. One thing Dead Rising 2 is crying out for is co-op!

Id very very surprised if Dead rising 2 was an exclusive title, to be perfectly honest i cant see any reason as to why Capcom would want to make it exclusive.

It probably is as simple as that.

I'd be very surprised is the sequel isn't on every system - especially with the Wii version of the original coming soon.

I personally couldn't get into the first one - I love the idea, loved the characters and story that I'd seen, but I really couldn't stand that save system....it drove me nuts. It's a shame that something as trivial as that could detract from what is a very good game.

Thats obviously the reason why Lost Planet was 360 exclusive for a short time. But they still haven't ported Dead Rising to the PS3 or PC although i'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard a task.

Its not like it didn't sell well on the 360.

Dead rising 2 only coming to the 360 and wii doesn't sound likely either. hmmmm.

That's probably the main reason I'm looking forward to the Wii version, due to the revisions Capcom have made to the save system.

Dead Rising was a good launch game for the 360 and if the sequel doesnt come out on PS3 then i'll eat my own shoes!

I can't recall having any problems with the save system.

And the only 2 achievements I didn't get were the 7 and 10 day survivor (because we tend to get a lot of power cuts out where we live and you can't save for that mode) ;(

Unless that's the problem with the save system you're referring to? :O

Capcom have been one of the jap companies talking about how you can't make exclusives anymore.

It'll be on 360, PS3 & PC. Guaranteed.

it was exclusive on 360 because ps3 wasnt out yet. it was my first 360 game and never got into it. hope they improve it for the second game. couldnt put my finger on it, just wasnt engaging.

co-op should be a natural choice for a game like this. mass brawls. id like to see a new spike out. similar game, a sega arcade.. but just scrapping in shoppping malls and cafes etc.
