Brand-new Sims - three games on the way

Unbelieveable! Three more versions of this glorified Tamagotchi?!

How much longer can EA continue to milk this series?
Actually, it's EA, so the answer is "indefinitely".
I hate EA. Will Wright too. :x

So instead of adding depth to the game, which it desperatly needs. EA are going to dumb it down and call it 'Laptop' friendly - BRILLIANT!

totally agree with above, the sims has been milked for every last drop, and they still continue to release slightly modified versions of the original. over and over, then again if people buy it......

This type of thing makes me want to scream. Who are they paying to come up with ideas for these games? I dont blame Will, all these expansions arent his idea, i liked the first sims game.

I think Will Wright is brilliant. However, I wonder if he feels the same way as Oppenheimer did after leading up the Manhatten Project?

Great, three more s**t, pointless boring games. Playing the Sims makes me think, "What the hell am I doing? I could actually do this for real?"

Games are supposed to be escapism are they not?

It seems i am one of the few fans of the sims here, but even i am apalled by the announcement of new games that actually don't bring anything new. The Family Fun Pack and The Christmas Fun Pack were soley money-spinners too, it's disgusting.

Oh and the sims is a form of escapism, because you are able to build up a life in a way that you can only dream of. You're still escaping your own life which may not be all that fantastic! However i doubt some narrow-minded folks will ever be able to see the reason other people play it. It's gaming snobbery lol.
