Gotham's worst will brick themselves

Who is Batman to you? The violent lawman of the modern comics? The wink-wink star of the 60's TV show? Tim Burton's gothic icon, perhaps? Maybe he's just that dude what punched his mum. The point is this: Travellers' Tales have never had a subject so open to Lego interpretation, and with it, playful experimentation. And boy, do they love it.... read more

I "kind of" care...

There's still a week 'til Far Cry 2 and 3 weeks until Fallout 3. I loved Lego Star Wars but skipped Indiana Jones, so there MIGHT be room for this on the shelf this weekend...

...i care...

mock me as ye like, the lego games are silly, innocent FUN. none of this washed out colour, cut and paste shooter, none of the gritty horror, and no bloody war.

Am I actually the only one who liked Lego Indy? When I was on holls in the summer when my girlfriend took 2 hours to get ready to go out every night that game was a godsend!

OMGOMGZOMBIE!!

I actually like these lego games. I play them with my son, and they're *great* father-son entertainment (we also play TF2, CoD4, Company of Heroes, but for those with less ... gaming-savvy sons :) on a saturday morning. Most kids can play them, and there's something to enjoy for those that remember the movies.

I don't give a toss about Batman, so we're passing up this one. I would (and so would my son) go absolutely nuts for a Dawn of the Dead game. We'd even settle for Shaun.

By the way, does anyone know of any counselling groups that help 32 year old life-long gamers, that constantly finish below their 10 year old son in TF2 online? I don't know whether to lament the death of my reflexes, and my time to game, or to be proud that I've trained him to absolute ├╝bergamer-dom. Both, then.

Hmmm, I'm not sure of a ten year old should be playing TF2...

From the heady days of City of Heroes, I've always loved you - but this idea is unadulterated genius... :)

Why shouldn't a 10 year old play TF2? He started gaming when he was 2, played MOHAA online when he was 4. He's completed GTA:VC, Splinter Cell, and many others.

Please remember that not *all* parents are like what you see on the cover of the Sun. He also plays chess, the drums, goes swimming twice a week, and goes live-roleplaying. He's been in the top 3 in his class every year, and he already speaks some english. I taught myself english because I needed to read manuals for flight sims for my C64 and Amiga, and his gaming has taught him a lot of english too.

Not all kids are neglected retards with no concept of what's real and what's not, even though the popular media would have you think so. Oh, and yeah, he likes zombies :)
