New Lord of the Rings Game!

Postby theBishop » 08 May 2008, 08:57

Can't remember the actual name but this thing could kick ass!

To put it simply this is star wars battlefront gameplay set in the Lord of the Rings world!

Anyone else excited?!

As long as I can be some variety of condescending elf, I'll be happy.

Or a scantily clad Dwarf.

Or a sex pest Hobbit.

I love LOTR, but I've not enjoyed any of the games really...well apart from one on the PS2 which was basically a modern golden axe slash em up.

I can't say i'm excited at all though sorry :P

I am intrigued.

Battlefront was good, Lord Of The Rings is good.

Sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I’d never know ’cause I wouldn’t eat the filthy motherf**ker.

So what's the crack with this game then ? I'm guessing a sorta FPS / RPG hybrid. It could work. I'm imagining massive crowd battles ala Dead Rising.

That does look groovy! Looks kinda similar to a game idea i had where you are a Roman Legionnaire on the frontlines at Carthage in a Call of Duty style..*dreams*....

Those screenshots look pretty, exactly what you'd expect it to look like.

I'll file this one under 'Keep an eye on it' methinks....

Here's the new trailer!

Looks pretty good to me. I'm all up for Battlefront style games, and this should fill the gap until they finally release the new Battlefront game.

Quickly, someone describe it to me!

Imagine Battlefront, but fighting at Helms deep, The battle of Minas Tirath etc.

Looks like all the big characters, such as Gandalf, legolas etc will unlock such as the way Vader etc did in Battlefront.

Plus there is all the ents, big elephant things, horse combat, Looks like the complete package!
