They should throw in a blindfold and some friend repellent for real authenticity!

Holy late-to-the-party, CVG! This is literally 3 months old.

When I had my pre-order online at Game, they only had the standard edition for £39.99. They then changed the price to £54.99 for some reason (but being a preorder, I got to keep the original price) then about 2 weeks later they updated the standard version to this special edition - pics and all.

So what I'm trying to say is, other than gloating at the fact I'm only paying £40 for a £55 game, is that you're completely behind with this 'news' :P

They will probably wait until it has a set release date before announcing the special edition for it.

Hey Koivu, not seen you on here in a while.

Anyway yea, that sucks a bit. Hopefully one will come out for the PS3. Seems a bit odd if it doesn't.

Ah well, I'm not too bothered about this game to be fair. I'll check the reviews and if a demo becomes available on PSN, I'll try that.

I'm more looking forward to Haze, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy Versus XIII (and standard XIII), and Little Big Planet.

I've never really gotten into the Alone in the Dark series, but the special edition actually looks good value for money for once.
Puts others to shame. I won't be buying it though as I'm not sure I would enjoy it enough to warrant the cost.

Looks spectacular, now I just need to decide whether to get the Wii or PC version.

I'll be buying Alone in the Dark, but don't think I'll bother with the limited edition - I've got enough knicknacks and other assorted crap in my life as it is! Plus I'd rather give someone who's really into the series a microscopically-improved chance of bagging one.

Sadly though, I often wonder with Limited Editions about how many are bought by actual fans, who'll really appreciate the stuff, and how many go to eBayers on a speculative investment basis...

The PC version seems to be a different collection. It is missing the art book but got something else instead. Anyone know what that is?

This game looks like it might be pretty good and may well end up getting it if reviews are positive, doubt I'll get the Limited Edition though.
