PSP's oddest title yet

After only a few hours play, we hated Patapon. Every time we marched into battle our tiny tribe of eyeballs would be mercilessly blackened by everything the evil Zigoton army threw at it, no matter what we did. Not even the singing tree and the small trumpeting soldier could lift our mood. Should something that looks this sickly-sweet be so taxing? It's more surprising given that the Patapon team also made the super-accessible LocoRoco. But a few swears and several successful missions later its quirky, strategic charms won us over.... read more

This game looks bloody mental!

If I had a PSP, I must just have got it

This game is interesting but I grew tired of it after the 2nd level. I just can't get over having to hit the same patterns over and over and over just to move the little guys forward. Good idea, just not appealing to me.

I had no interest in this game at all until I downloaded the demo. I've just finished playing and it seems like I might actually enjoy the full game!
Its a shame I can't say the same for loco roco demo I tried though...I really wanted to like that one :(

Thats pretty much how I felt. I wanted to rip my head off after a few levels. It's so frustrating when you hit fever mode only to balls it up right away. Those little b*****d Patapons do their best to screw your timing up by making a load of random noise when you go into Fever mode.

I switch my PSP off in anger after screwing up about 20 Fevers in a row and as soon as I've put it down I'm picking it back up again. "Just one more go.... just one more go." I'm addicted.

The game is brilliant.

Just had a look at a video of this game, and it looks bloomin' superb! I've got that 'pata pata pata pon' song stuck in my head now

Whenever I do get a PSP, it might just be got!

I was recently debating, buying another 2 months of WoW, buying LocoRoco or selling my PsP (to fund WoW and put some cash in my pocket) and looks like Patapon has got my money.

If you want to play a game that is brilliant yet makes you want to smash your own skull in, yes.

I'm officially addicted.
