Like a bullet in a China shop

The developers at Midway obviously understand three important rules. One, smashing an object to pieces becomes increasingly more entertaining in direct proportion to how big and expensive it looks. Two, rendering a man infertile with a high velocity projectile never ever stops being funny. And three, the true path to happiness has got sod all to do with enlightenment, or loving your neighbour, or any of that hippy-dippy nonsense.... read more

Sounds great! I loved both the Max Payne games, so seeing this makes me think it's a must for me. Just one question, though. How does the bullet time work? Is it capped in some way? I've never seen a better system than in Max Payne, personally (you get more bullet time for killing baddies, and while in bullet time killing more both extends and slows time down even further). It's looking very pretty though, I must say!
I remember when all these fields were blue.

The bullet time goes up automatically but speeds up with kills. One thing that the reviews haven't mentioned is that it doesn't always slow down. You can jump and slide around and it won't slow down. It only slows down when it recognises your targeting something. This works perfectly. So it doesn't keep stopping. You'll be jumping and sliding around all over the place and the pace won't stop. Then you'll jump against the wall infront, bounce off and spin around and as soon as your aim comes towards an enemy everything slows down and goes beige coloured. It works really well.

Oh, and I think yesasia.com have a region-free version available for £24.99. I have no proof of this but I read it somewhere.

In addition: slow down while targeting only happens when your doing some crazy jump or roll. You can also manually enter Tequila Time by pressing the right shoulder button. Oh, and if you hold down on the left trigger when jumping you can barrel roll around on the floor.

I think this one has been reviewed too high.
I've already finished this game twice and I didn't think it was anything special.
Ok, it looks cool jumping all over the place in slow-mo and doing the Tequila Bombs but after a few hours it gets very repetitive. Also, every level basically consists of fighting 100 baddies followed by a very standard boss fight.
This game certainly has the flair but it has no substance.
I would give it a 7/10 and advise to rent rather than buy.

Twice? It only came out today. That's serious overkill.

Idiot.

And how do you work that out? I bought the game and would like to give my opinion to my fellow gamers that may be interested in it.
I played it twice as I payed £40 for this game. Took about 5-8 hours to complete it. I played it again as I missed some stuff first time around and wanted to pick up a few more achievements.
I gave it a 7/10, which means its an average game and I advised to rent instead of buy because the game is so short and most people won't play it again.
Please go back to your PS3 shrine. Idiot...

Its a poor mns Max Payne..... but itsthe closest thing to MP3 your gonna gt... and for that reason alone its a winner in my eyes.

Asive said elsewhere "bullet time still fvcking rocks!"

LOL
I've barely got any achievements for it! Check my GT: Darth Cell.
Like I said, when you spend this sort of money on a game you can hardly play it once for few hours and let it collect dust. That is why I advised to rent. Its a decent game with its highs and lows but you can run through it fairly quickly and its rather shallow. Like I said, its a renter...
