New Command & Conquer video explores series roots, future

See here is how they can make this work. go down the LOL route. Make certain generals free on a rolling basis. If you want to play as a certain general all the time, you buy that general. If that's the route they go down with monetizing this, I can see it being a huge success. Anything they come up with will have to be at least as customer friendly.

Command and Conquer has mainly been about the over the top campaign.

No campaign means I'm not interested one iota.

They can dress it up as much as they want, it's still pay to win, so whatever they do it's still a big no sale from me.

I don't know why they want/need to go down the F2P route.
RTS games still work. Look at Starcraft 2. That sells well and people play it and enjoy it.

This is EA's way of covering themselves because if it does fail, they should still make enough money from the micro-transactions to make it not a complete failure.

New Command & Conquer video explores series' roots, future

surely the future is just the closure of the studio after the game fails to take off and people generally resist its fee to pay money grab?
