I hope they release Silverstone as DLC for GT5 while we wait for GT6.
The signs are good.

Well if it is for the PS4 and not PS3, then what they really need is a PSV version with cross-play features and cross-buy so the popularity of both consoles is improved greatly.

Gran Turismo event to reveal 'what's next for the franchise'

Could it be lashings of disappointment, like the last iteration? They've made me so cynical!

That Chemical Brothers remix of Everything Must Go still sends shivers up the spine. They need to get back to proper cutting edge car culture, like the original which was partly responsible for the massive surge in grey imports of performance cars from Japan in the late 90s here.

GT5 was and continues to grow into a great racing game, however it does need a little extra spice added to the mix for the next installment.

Looking forward to what they bring to the table.

While I agree that argument can now be pretty much aimed at every major publisher.

exactly this.

i think GT6 will fare MUCH better at the start than 5 did, because they built 5 from scratch, 6 is just using 5's engine so they've had all that game dev time instead of engine dev time!

oh, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! 8) 8) 8)

GT5 wasn't completely built from scratch though was it?

I thought they admitted to using car models from GT4?

There might actually be some GT6 footage in that clip. I've put something at youtube about it here:

It's the 2nd half of the video, you'll see it.

GT5 is built from scratch, the GT4 cars were imported into the game prior to release to buff the car count since Sony decided to stretch PD too thin making a useless PSP version and causing GT5 to have a low premium car count a little over 250 at launch I think it had. Time wasted and we don't need another portable GT game. Don't talk about what you have little idea about, the added cars have nothing to do with the the engine the game was built with just means the engine was versatile enough to allow them to almost drag and drop in GT4 car models but that didn't look so well as it took some retooling to get them to look a little cleaner. Physics engine works no matter which model you use, that is where the real deal lies. Next game will have all premium cars, I hope that they include every car in GT5 as I found way too many gems hidden in the garbage that I want to use again in the new game, new cars are great and all but can't forget the oldies...ever!

"Don't talk about what I have little idea about?"

I didn't state it as fact, hence the question marks.

Either way, GT5 was a borefest IMO and hopefully GT6 will be a return to form for the series.
