Wii U Virtual console launches on Saturday

I'll be picking up Super Mario World, I have it on my SNES but my controller has seen better days.
If only Mario scrolled left all the time without choice then I'd be fine.

Wario Ware Twisted. You know you want to.

Launch line-up is rubbish, but par for the Nintendo course.

GNamer, for Nintendo talk.

Was hoping super metroid would be on there, but its meant to be coming soon anyway on the 30p specials.

Will certainly pick up Super Mario Bros, I was always a Sega kid back in the Nes/Snes days, so I missed out on titles like that.

Yet more needless complication from Nintendo.

Can you imagine the outcry if they released it for £3.49 and then a month later discounted it down to 30p? :p

The tears would be extra salty.

Would certainly fun to see. I imagine they have held it back purposefully because of this, especially as the ad they did for this showed off super Metroid briefly. Guessing once the 30p offer ends they will adjust the price.

The main thing i'm hoping is that we are getting the 60hz versions of these titles so none of the slowdown..

Also wondering why Nintendo haven't mentioned other consoles on the VC whats happening with MegaDrive/Genesis, Master System or NeoGeo? Nintendo keep hinting at the Gamecube VC but yet still no announcement, i'm secretly hoping for some news at E3 but i'm not going to hold my breath.. also with the WiiU having more power wouldn't it be great to see Sega Saturn & Dreamcast titles appear on VC as well?

Really ? That's the angle you're going for ?

The games line-up would have been an easier (and far less obvious target)

£5.49 is a bit steep for SNES games I'd say. I know Nintendo don't like to 'cheapen' their heritage, but £3.99, while only £1.50 less, would seem much more aggreable. £5.49 is a similar price to XBLA redoings, that add online two player and the like!
