What kind of loser gets off from work to play a game? Need to get a life kid, games are for your spare time.

It's good that commander mode is back. I feel there will be some of the usual negativity about already having DLC in the works, but to be honest, I thought Premium was actually quite a good deal. Maps, modes, weapons, challenges, vehicles, dog tags, soldier camos...stuff like early access and queue priority was nice too.

I spent easily 100 more hours on BF3 because of Premium than I would have otherwise.

How do you define 'spare time' ?

For me, it's not being in work and not having anything else I have to do.

Me and my best friend booked a week off work for E3, we're having barbecues, nightly parties and retro games marathons and the whole time I'll be lucky if my missus lets me win. Games are a hobby and an awesome way of socialising. The lifestyle has also changed a lot over the years.

It's not the hobby that makes you lonely and angry, it's the way you live your life. Games are what you do with them, for me they're the glue that bonds my social life, well them and single malt.

I still get excited about new games, why not, I still meet my WoW guild members for a night out once a month and I haven't played that in over a year. The games industry is about to go through a huge transition again and the future is not as crystal clear as people think, it's going to result in some awesome experiences and maybe some new friends.

As I suspect the guy above was just trolling (so super cool), I'll just leave it there. It's pretty awesome how far we've come from messing around in our spare time though ain't it. Heck of an industry when you think about it's routes.

Probably someone who doesn't have a job or much of a social life, so they don't understand that people don't have all the time in the world to play games, and/or have things they have to do outside of work that can take up alot of their 'free' time.

Although I've never booked time off to specifically play a game, I have booked time off work just to "be at home" and will have spent some of that time playing games.

Maybe this guy would prefer a week socialising playing games than booking a cheap and cheerful week in Magaluf getting p**sed and contracting STDs.

Either way, doesn't hurt you, does it?

They tell us DLC something they do after the game goes gold and there's no more they can do, so they can extend the lifespan of a game.

 Just for the record i do indeed have a ''life'', i mean i don't drink, smoke or take drugs, i have never been to a nightclub and have no intention of ever doing so. However i have dedicated my life to martial arts, i train everyday in discipline's ranging from Jiu Jitsu to judo and Muay Thai. I lead a healthy lifestyle. By taking this time off work i get to train more frequently and still get paid a weeks wage's while enjoying the game. So what's it to you what someone does in their ''spare time''? Also i'm 21 years old, so please don't call me a kid.

Who are you to tell people how to spend their own free time? If he is doing something he enjoys, it can't be a waste of time "kid".

Crikey, you really need to get out and have a drink, life is for living so get out of the gym and find some friends who will go out have a beer, get drunk and make fools of yourselves, it's all part of growing up kid.

You don't need to justify yourself to that judgemental tool. Do what makes you happy mate.

:D ,i bet this sounds strange coming from a group of 21 year old's but none of us drink, i house share with 5 other guys and we all train together at the same academy , i had a 3 bottle's of WKD on my 18th birthday, downed them then proceeded to through up all over my parents new couch, best to say they weren't too pleased, i guess i don't like the stigma of going out and getting smashed every weekend and causing drama. The taste also put's me off, it's just not that nice. You should see peoples face's when i tell them i don't drink, they look at me like i'm from a different planet :P
