Nintendo DS: 9 years, 50 must-own games

Postby smmac41 » 24 Apr 2013, 18:39

Lots of fantastic Nintendo DS games.

A little disappointed Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin arn't on the list.

My personal favorite - Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.

Great list, and - having owned most of them too - there's very little that I'd argue with. Maybe I skimmed past it, but Meteos is another must-own game for me. Also: Yoshi Touch & Go would be #51 on your list, am I right...?

I was and still am a huge PSP fan and haven't played the DS all that much, but I had it for a while and quite liked it. I bought it mainly for the fantastic Dawn of Sorrow and the other DS Castlevania games. I read recently that the Etrian Odyssey games have soundtracks composed by Yuzo Koshiro, so that's another series I'm going to check out, thanks to the magic of backwards compatibility of the 3DS.

Ghost Trick and Hotel Dusk sound ace! I haven't got a DS myself but I bought DQIX and borrowed my Sister's. Bitch doesn't even play on it anymore so I think i'll borrow it indefinitely. :)

I haven't read the article, but how is that not on there? It's one of my top ten, I think. Meteos better be in there as well: great puzzler, but thoroughly unrated.

Also the DS Golden Sun is rubbish. Don't by that.
RIP CVG. Future can get stuffed.

Erm, are they serious?

Bangai-O Spirits?

How the hell did they manage to leave one of the greatest shooters/handheld games/games ever made off this list?
