Nintendo's 3DS dream project feels fresh yet familiar

The fourth instalment of the cult Mario & Luigi RPG series is a perfect example of what Nintendo does best with established genres. There's nothing revolutionary here and the game proves there doesn't need to be. Sleeper hit? Hands-on with Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

The wider Article Comments audience might not pay much attention to this, because it's "another Mario game" and isn't a graphical marvel. As someone who played and loved the other entries on the series, this is possibly my most anticipated title of 2013. If they can improve on the characterisation from Bowser's Inside Story and the set of linear dungeons from Partners in Time, that's all to the good!

Shame about (a) the spin jump's return and (b) the non-Superstar Saga approach to Bros. Attacks, but I suppose you can't have everything.

I'm really looking forward to this too. Love the Mario and Luigi games. In fact i'd say i prefer them and Paper MArio more than the regualr ones. They're just far more fun and silly.

Very fond of the Mario & Luigi series. I find them really funny and very clever. Much prefer them to 3D mario games.
I'm kind of a big deal...
