Glad it's coming to Wii U, but I've never played Splinter Cell, and by fan reactions this isn't a great one to start with....

I would still give it a try. I think the recent SC games get loads of abuse because they moved away from the heavy stealth gameplay, and have become more action orientated. But if the early games didnt exist, i bet people would be alot nicer about the recent ones. I include myself in this, i prefered when you would have to restart the level if you got caught, rather than the level just erupt into gunfire.

I'm definitely more of a Stealth game player, can't wait for Thief 4 on PC. I'm still struggling to afford all these games, I'm already torn between Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Arkham Origins Don't know how I'll afford this, Super Smash and Mario Kart too :(

Canned? In 9 months? It is now April, April being the 4th month. The release date is August, August being the 8th month. Now, you say the game will be canned in 9 months? 9 months from now will be January 2014, 5 months after the games release date. Math confirms you as a liar sir or something worse.

Back to school. Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool. I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight. Ohhhh, back to school. Back to school. Back to school.

I've been playing Splinter Cell games since Pandora Tomorrow (and I went back and played the original), and it's one of my favorite series, even up to this day. If I was you, I'd find some way to play Double Agent, then play Conviction, then play Blacklist. Double Agent is the game that starts to branch away from the formula, which many fans have complained about, but of all the Splinter Cell games, it's the most realistic in terms of story.

I don't know what I think about this next Splinter Cell- it's sort of going back to its roots but sort of isn't? I'm yet to play a better stealth game than Chaos Theory (seriously, it's sublime) and if they could recapture even half of the greatness of that game I'd be all over this. At the same time the gameplay footage Ubi have released thus far hasn't really won me over - they haven't made it look remotely challenging- but I'm trying to keep an open mind.
