Super Mario Kart was the best game on the SNES, I'd say a close second was Super Mario All Stars with Super Mario World included. Stunt Race FX and Donkey Kong Country went down as classics, plus the forgotten Legend of the Mystical Ninja. If Super Mario World was the top selling game, it was packaged with the console, so it had a head start over other games.

Loved those games, shows that simple gameplay is where it is at, games nowadays just don't cut it like they used to.
We can't stop now, this is Bat Country!

There are colour differences between the SNES and Mega Drive versions. For example, on Ken's stage the sky is orange in the MD version, whereas on the SNES it's yellow. On Vega's stage, the floor is blue on the Genesis, and green on the SNES... and the background dancers wear orange dresses on the Genesis, but lila on the SNES...

I loved Wrestlefest and used to get really into it, particularly Royal Rumble mode.

Once was so engrossed in the game that I didn't notice someone had stolen my wallet from my jacket pocket. It was my christmas money which I was using to buy a Game Gear, thankfully Grandma had deep pockets and I still got my portable Shinobi fix.

True - if slightly depressing - story.

Super Mario Kart is close to be my favourite ever game. I would give my right arm for a reboot with proper 8 person online multiplayer.

Wrestlefest was one of my favourites in the arcade too!

I think it's time we all admitted that Parappa the Rapper was actually a bit s**t. It was funny and a nice novelty, but a bit s**t.

Speaking of Wrestlefest there's a quandry about that game. There is DLC for it on the PSN store but the game itself isn't.

I was a rabid Megadrive fanboy back in the day but one SNES game shut me up and that was Mario Kart! Simply one of the best games ever made.
Reegeee is right about Parappa though. I've always hated that game. Original or not it's still gash.

I was a massive fan of the first Parappa. Its crazy to think that was a first party Sony game back then.

Totally. I remember the first time I saw F Zero as well with all the mode 7 going on. It was like nothing could possibly ever look any better.

Surely a new F Zero would be massive for Nintendo. Why in the bloody hell don't they do one?

Well ther's not many decent futuristic racing games about right now, so the time could be right for a new F Zero.
Many of us have also been crying out for a new Road Rash for years but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one  .
