GAME introduces new budget tablet range

Postby RustySpoon80 » 04 Apr 2013, 14:35

Interesting, never heard of the DGM T-704S, so a quick search on Google and the first site is selling them for £45.10. Archos Gamepad, £129.99 in Game, £119.99 in Currys.
Typical Game.

That price is a sale special from the manufacturers. If you look on places like Woocher you'd see the best price they have is £69.99. You can get it cheaper, you can get it for more. This is quite normal.

Game are clearly shifting their focus, its inevitable that digital distribution will take a higher command of games sales over the next few years, so they need to prepare for this by selling more hardware and by selling game codes, like they are doing now. Game.co.uk is actually cheaper to buy MS points than directly off of xbox live.

GAME jumps on the budget tablet bandwagon, but continues with what it's renowned for. High prices. I wouldn't give GAME and even HMV a penny of my money.

Two other impressive new tablets launched in March and one of the first resellers they are available through is a site called TabletSprint --

The Novo 9 Spark for $269 (£174) features a 9.7 inch 2048x1536 IPS screen and a Quad Core processor/1.5 Ghz/2GB - along with a powerful 10,000 mAh battery, 32GB Memory, WiFi, a MicroSD memory card slot, the new high end 4K Digital HDMI to stream movies from your tablet and display on an HD TV, a 2 Megapixel Front webcam and a 5 Mega- pixel Rear Camera with Autofocus; and preinstalled with Google Play Store to access more than 400,000 Android software Apps, and also provides options for 3G/4G internet access.

The Novo 7 Venus for $149 (£94) also launched and compares to the Nexus 7 -- featuring a Quad Core processor, 1280x800 IPS screen, 16GB memory, WiFi, a front webcam, Android O/S and Google Play... all of which match the same features of the Nexus 7 tablet -- while also offering features the Nexus 7 doesn't - including a 2 Megapixel rear camera, a MicroSD memory card slot, and an HDMI 1080p port; plus options for 3G/4G internet connection.

Ainol Electronics produces both new models and received an award as runner up for "Best Tablet of the Year" in 2012 at the annual Consumer Electronics Show. The site TabletSprint - also includes $25 in Bonus Apps and features a free promotion for 3G Data Internet service that includes a 3G USB adapter at no charge.
