"LOL"

Anyone who votes for this back patting parade (or any award) is a bit of a wally.

MS hijacked it to get a Kinect game to win anything.

Allegedly.

Pardon my naïveté, but was the game section open to non-Microsoft titles?

Yes, any title released on the 360 last year counts.

My bad, I meant "non-360" :?
I find the fact that such awards can span several media and disciplines but restrict themselves to only one console manufacturer very disturbing and, to be frank, just plain silly. What next, the "Sony Pictures Achievement in Filmmaking award"?

Why would you expect Microsoft to run an Xbox Awards vote to include titles that are not sold on their system? Microsoft don't produce Music/Movies, but they have those categories. They just have to be available on Xbox.

This hacking craze is getting ridiculous. Surely these big corporations, in this case M$ can spend some (of our Xbl Gold sub) money on improving security? It seems nothing online is safe in today's world, which is at odds with the whole "online is the future" nonsense the big corporations seem to want us to believe in the gaming industry at the moment.
