SimCity: EA lists free games on offer as compensation

Postby CatfishMurphy » 18 Mar 2013, 17:58

Lol @ the irony of providing of a good, working version of Sim City as compensation. One day they'll write a sitcom about EA but I feel the ending of Mass Effect 3 is still just too soon, too soon.

Problem is, most of the games here actually bring back more painful memories of EA incompetance

Wanted Dead Space 3, but it's a game I wouldn't have been playing enough to make it worth the cash... might be getting it, or perhaps Mass Effect 3.

Thanks for telling us we have a week to buy your new game to get a free game, EA. Time to look up the cheapest prices. Any of those will do.

I was hoping for Fifa or something, i am tempted by a football game but don't fancy buying one. Guess i will be getting dead space 3 not that i have been that interested by it, just the only one i have the slightest temptation to play. With most of these games they will be able to make their money back through DLC and microtransactions so i doubt they are that bothered. Bit of a lame choice really.

I'd recommend ME3 if you've got the first two. It is a series that really needs to be played as a series.

If you have PSN+ on your PS3 you can get ME3 free as part of the instant games collection.

Get ME3 since BF3 is just the bog standard edition and without the DLC your missing out on alot of content, but i suppose if your not to bothered about the extra modes/maps then go for BF3.

I know ill be getting Dead Space 3 since i did want to play it for the story, but didnt want to pay for it and support their directions with the inclusion of micro transactions.

Games industry today is really going to crap lately, EA going with MT in single player games aswell as always online DRM, Crytek going full F2P route, Activision....well they are the same, the the crap surrounding Aliens:CM has left Gearbox in a very low esteem atm with fans, god help Irrational if Bioshock Infinite isnt the best damn game ever.

Atleast Tomb Raider was awesome.

Sim City 4 is on there, and that's like an upgrade to the new Sim City.
