Not releasing any games for 3½ months will produce slow hardware sales. Not rocket science, neither is it anywhere near the death of the console. More doom-mongering. Surprised this article doesn't say "As supported by Pachter" in the title too...

Releasing a WiiU 2 would interest me, changing that awful name so it doesn't sound like an add-on to the Wii, this time making it superior to the PS4 and XB3 and at a decent price also with releasing some games, possibly adding a touchscreen controller that was capacative and multitouch and doesn't scrimp on the licensing so can play DVD and Bluray films...

As it stands, the WiiU is last years news, make that 3 years ago news.

Mine has a very thick coating of dust by now. I kind of like it though, since it now matches my 3DS nicely.
I'm not writing it off yet however. The bulk of my hours with the original Wii, by far, were spent playing Mario Kart with friends; we were close to 2000 races last time I checked. Once Mario Kart U or whatever they call it arrives, the Wii U will prove to have been worth the investment.

I think.

I have checked the sales on VG Chartz (not sure if Shipped or sold figures), but over the last few weeks its sold 30K a week worldwide. The Xbox hits at least 80K per week and the PS3 120K. These are not good figures for Nintendo

So you want it better than consoles that haven't been released, cheaper and with the power to do everything...

Reasonable enough.

Ive counted it out since it was announced as it was very clear it was competing with the ps3 and xbox 360 and personally im gearing up to move along to the next batch of tech

also what ive seen of the games hasnt got me interested and im sure we can count on yet another zelda and mario and the usual suspects wich is nice but not enough to get me buying now.

Did you actually properly look at the PS4 in-game footage? Other than the impressive pre-rendered videos, the actual in game stuff doesnt look even vaguely impressive. I just built a gaming computer and it looks at least twice as impressive as any of the games shown, and thats using "This gens graphics".
I don't know why anyone thinks the "Share" button and a touch panel on a controller is going to make ANY difference at all to their gaming, because at the moment that is the only revolution they've announced so far in terms of console progression.

You did not build a PC that can run rings around the PS4. It might but you can't say with any certaintity.

The Wii U will be fine. Even as a fan of it, It's obvious it wasn't selling well due to the lack of games being released. All that will change when they arrive. I couldn't give a crap about all the Next Gen, Now Gen, Future Gen & Power capability talk anyway. It's irrelevant. I like reading some articles on here, even though I've never let a review influence my judgement to purchase a game or not.
