EA refuses refunds as SimCity server fiasco enters day 4

Terrible for people who bought the game. I had issues with The Sims 3 at launch on my PC(My PC can run it) and after trying to fix it I just gave up after a few weeks, sold the game and never looked back. EA can't do anything right it seems.

To think all they had to do to prevent this entire turn of events was to allow for a single player offline mode.

Such a crazy thought I know.

I acknowledge I may well be in the minority here, but I fired up sim city (retail disc version), downloaded a title update and then got onto a server first try.

That doesn't mean I don't think the always on internet connection should be axed for single player. It should, get rid of it!

That said if you need me I'll be in my office mayor-ing and stuff.

I'm really not surprised by this at all, This is what EA are best at, pushing games out that have not been tested properly and are full of bugs and glitches and EA servers have always sucked in opinion....EA is just a money machine, and 'steady' to them is good enough.

Said it once and I will say it again - if you buy a DRM game then you are a mug.

End of.

I've been a gamer for almost 3 decades but I've never bought an EA game, I've borrowed some and even rented a couple but never actually bought one, today this gives me a warm feeling.

Forcing people to be constantly online for a single player mode is beyond ridiculous. I will never purchase a game that treats players this way. EA should show more respect to their customers, they'll only get away with this sort of thing for so long before it begins to seriously impact their sales and no one goes near them.

I feel sorry for Maxis having a publisher like EA handling their game :P

That you've achieved practically nothing? I get the sentiment though. I am fairly against pirating and I won't do it, but I hope this does get cracked so EA realise they've screwed over people with this crappy set up. I'll consider buying it when they do away with the always online crap.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

Remember the days you could buy a PC Game, install it, enjoy it and that was the end of it?

What's with all this origin nonsense?
