I dunno he has done a few things I quite like (apart from the awesome Evil Dead trilogy)...

Darkman
Spiderman 2 (3 is unforgivable how he treated Venom)
Drag Me To Hell (yeah ok a lot of similarities to Evil Dead style stuff there)
For Love Of The Game (a great baseball movie, not as good as Field Of Dreams but it is great)
The Quick & The Dead

And also the brilliant American Gothic tv show!

Raimi is a talented director so it's shame he's not attached imo.

BTW Spiderman 3 wasn't supposed to have Venom in it AT ALL, it was studios putting pressure on Raimi to feature the character which is why it doesn't really work.

I concur with this list (although not seen For The Love Of The Game) and also would add:

A Simple Plan (nice low key thriller)
The Hudsucker Proxy (assistant director along with the Coens)
and Crimewave which had the potential to be amazing but was butchered by the studios.

It's a movie based on a video game, it'll be s**t either way and the fans will still go see it.

Yeah, I heard this somewhere too. Doesn't make much sense to me - if I was making a Spiderman movie the first (and only) question I would ask is "Is it too soon to introduce Venom?". Thankfully the answer to that question is always "Of course not, we thought you'd never ask!"
