Yeah, I really hate to say it, but in a couple of years time Nintendo may go the same way as Sega & become a dedicated software developer.
As weird as it sounds, we could be playing a Mario game on the Next Xbox and PS4..... at least they'll be making one hell of a profit in games sales! :D

After playing minecraft on DS personally i'd prefer a 3DS version. Wii U would be rather ideal tho for it, map on gamepad, using motion plus to chip away at blocks. obv ps3 has move but the wii u could run some of the prettier textures

I would like to see that, then you would be able to enjoying the handful of great Nintendo first party games without having to shell out for a console.

I would put money on Sony going the way of Sega long before Nintendo did.

Despite the negative press, Nintendo still have $11 billion just sitting in the bank and their DS line is extremely profitable.

Sony currently can only dream of having that kind of money to burn.

Now that's just biased against Nintendo. :( I hope Nintendo can give us all an amazing E3 this year to change people's minds.

I'm expecting an amazing E3 this year from all companies.

Nintendo have something to prove this year and would be foolish not to bring out the showstoppers.

Both Sony and Microsoft have their new consoles to show off and wow the public.

Gonna be a good E3 I feel. :)

"Xbox exclusivity deal ends" WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?! The way Xbox owners have been talking about this game they have all said it will never come to the PS3[hmm, just like the GTA4 DLC & the BioShock games & the Mass Effect games etc etc then] lol

have to admit folk highly underestimate the available funds nintendo have from the wii and ds. nintendo up until the initial 3ds release have always made a good profit on their systems whereas microsoft and sony lose money and make up for it in game sales. its a bit harsh blocking nintendo out seeing as both their current consoles would fit nminecraft better, liek i said, there is a ds version of minecraft and it works great. an official release on 3DS would be great

But why? Do they think the install base will be too paltry (hint: it's Minecraft, it'd be a multi-million seller if a Dreamcast version was launched at this point!)? Is it just because it'd be hard to port for some reason, or have Sony offered a team to port it and Nintendo won't? (the talented 4J, who did Banjo and PD ports, built the entire game and engine from the ground up in for Xbox, hence the solid-ness of it all compared to the Java-based PC one)
From what others have said, Nintendo are pretty easy to deal with for indies provided you have an office, and the eShop lets you set your own price. Minecraft wouldn't exactly tax it and the controller would work great! So why not port to both?!

I've put hours in to the 360 version. It seems a perfect fit for the Wii U's screen. I can't say I'd buy it again unless it was very cheap, but I'd think Nintendo's eshop approach would be good for a game like this.
Future Plc, you bloody idiots.
