Layoffs hit Aliens: Colonial Marines co-developer TimeGate S

Postby turricantg » 04 Mar 2013, 23:30

Now that is a shame after such a wonder game that was Alien Colonial Marines.

Hope they find work soon...They could maybe work there magic on a Superman game!

Or they could just write a new game and call it....Donkey poo, where they have to lie and mislead people for years about a game that looks really good that all gamers get really excited about and then let everyone down by making a pile of donkey poo.

If they make it....You heard it here first.

Woah there folks, this news is actually quite tragic if you're in possession of all the facts. It was Gearbox that plopped out that stinking turd of a game, not TimeGate. TimeGate, it transpires, are the studio that made 99% of that kick ass game build from a couple of years ago - y'know, the one that made everybody realise what the title could have been and thus hate the finished product even more. Take a gander at the two links below for a bit more info:

The foulest 'F' word of all is... "Franchise"

Shame to see people lose their jobs, thanks to the gaming community that jumped on the Bandwagon and stated hating Aliens CM a game I actually quite enjoyed.

I actually quite enjoyed it as well, and you're right, the hatred and vitriol spat out by most people on here and other sites was apalling. And the worst offenders were the ones who had never even tried it, the internet can be an incredible feeding place for ignorant sheep sometimes.

So you that like the Aliens game are calling CVG review team a bunch of liars.

Oh and the websites of IGN....Gamespot....Gameinformer...Gametrailers.

Who all called the game a big smelly pile of bear poo.

I played this game and would have to slightly disagree with the harsh reviews of the above sites.

I would say its not really a big pile of bear poo....But in fact more like donkey poo.

Please get this right in the future when reviewing such wonders of modern gaming such as this.

P.S...A mate of mine who goes to church and preys a lot told me that Jesus Christ the man who was the son of our lord and saved man from some weird stuff years ago....Told him that he tried the game and thought it was not as good as he was lead to believe.

So even Jesus Christ thought it was rubbish...So now your calling him a liar.

Change now and he will forgive you and save a place in heaven for you...At the moment its not looking good.

Amen.

turricantg is right, it was turd a game so distant from the roots of it's source matter that it hurt, fighting other humans???? not scary???? you can brush an alien off with a smack to the chops??? waves and waves of aliens??? lacked atmosphere????? Come on it was overwhelmingly more shooter than what is should have been; survival horror.

the consumer wins again though it is sad folks have to lose their jobs.
