As much as you would love to charge twice for content it is not a sustainable business model. Microtransactions should only be used on F2P content and even then should be optional and not a requirement.
The microtransaction aspect of Mass Effect 3 while annoying was completely optional and I have never(AND WILL NEVER) pay for content that I can unlock in the game.
