Good thing I live in Austin (4 and half hour drive), might be worth the drive. I have a feeling that Doom 4 will definably be unveiled, as well as maybe the next Elder Scrolls and/or another iteration of Dishonored?!

Considering ID have said they are thinking of going back to the Quake 1 style for Quake 5 has me interested, providing they can bring Doom 4 which isn't a corridor scare fest and looks and plays like 1-2 then i'll be interested in all their future games.

Doom 3 was too enclosed and had too many scripted scares, you could hardly interact with the environment, multiplayer sucked ass. The single player was ok, just nothing special.

i wasn't much into quake 1, liked quake 2 and loved doom... but when they released newer versions it was like... times have moved on guys and you have brought nothing new to the table.

maybe thats just me, but when those games revolutionized the genre then the newer ones should have tried to further it more

We all should pretend Rage never happened.

I'm still a Quake 1,2 and Arena man. After that, I am not really fussed. Probably more fond memories than anything else. If they released something retro 1,2, or 3, I would be interested, but I am older now and my reaction are crap, so would probably get frustrated. Us Quake players are getting on a bit now. Kinda like the game. :)

Rage did show that id really need to move on when it comes to single player, like you say. I played the beginning of Rage, then couldn't be bothered.

Megatron: Which one is it?
Optimus Prime: It's the one that says Bad motherf**ker

This contains £999 pound symbols, €100 symbols and $222 dollar symbols.

We need to work with "double quote marks", 'single quote marks', and various other weirdness.
