This will be a day one purchase on my spangly new generation console.

So torn about which system to go for: PS4 or Nextbox. It was cut and dry a few weeks ago but after all the recent rumours and rumblings I'm not sure which one I'll go for!!
Do you want Chilli on that?

Well you would think that it's highly likely conisdering the bond that EA and Sony have (week early DLC etc etc). Really enjoyed BF3 on PS3 but knew I was missing out not plying it on the PC, hopefully the gap can be closed so that we get a BF game DICE wanted on console. Roll on BF4

I doubt they will remove rent a server as I bet they have made quite abit of money from it :(

tbh, as cool as this is, I'm not going to make the mistake of buying this on console again. The console versions aren't a shade on the PC versions

Couldn't agree more. This was the game that put the final nail in the coffin for this gen for me. My most anticipated game for the next gen.

With that choice go for a PS4 for one on paper it has better hardware, if they can get around the processor bottleneck. More importantly however, I expect they wont charge you £40 a year to access content on your games purchases.

Typical EA put in systems to allow for clans and moderation & competitive play that you have been able to do on the PC for years. Low and behold someone moans, well pay attention to the server rules or join an EA or major companies server where the mods are lax.

This right here. Rent-A-Server was one of the worse things to happen to BF3. It was perfect the way it was. Who really wants to play 500% on Noshir Canals on repeat? Waste of money that is

Just bring back the destructable environments of bad company and take away all the gimmicks ala laser pointers, torches and tone down the ridiculous lens flare and washed out environments then colour me interested,........blimey i didn't realise bf3 p**sed me off so much.........ah sod it, let's all just play bad company 2, much better game anyway.

As much as I liked BF3 on PS3 it wasnt anything near the quality of the ten minute 'fault line' trailer. Heres hoping they can achieve parity with the PC version this time around. They need to go back to the fully destructable environments of Bad Company 2, reduce the lens flare by 50%, at least 50 player multiplayer, and most importantly, manage a consistant 60 fps. If they can achieve that on the new hardware they may have a contender on their hands.
