I skipped the wii version because of the waggle controls, so i guess the point is to get me to buy it (and i shall).

Oh no, I love Donkey Kong Country. I especially loved DKCR when I played it in 2010, which is not long enough ago for a port!

Although I suppose some people might have been put off by the waggles (see JOFF), which (along with the Hard Mode) was the one flaw in an otherwise pretty flawless game. I'd just rather they'd put the time spent "re-building it from the ground up" into designing a new Donkey Kong game, is all.

I didn't own a Wii anymore when this was out so didn't get to play it fully. And I'd like some more 3DS games.

So that's my reason for buying it. Or asking somebody to buy it me. Or stealing it from somebody's van while he's in the coffee shop.

He visits greggs, not a coffee shop. Far too posh for a palace fan.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say its more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.

That wasn't even the first time either. It happened with Need for Speed Most Wanted as well, that time I even said don't spend over 30 for it.....then she tells me it was 40 when she got back!

You'd think I'd learn but I really really do hate going into town and shops.

What's the point of paying around £40 for this if you've played the Wii version? Even if it had a few extras, it isn't worth it. Can't say I'm a fan of remakes, but I wouldn't say no to Wave Race 64 on the 3DS. Whoever decided to put Star Fox 64 (Lylat Wars 64) on the 3DS, wanted shooting. Remake or no remakes, no handheld game is worth over £20.

True, but the time spent doing that would have been far, far greater than the time spent on this remake, which is likely to be very little. That's more time (and money) saved that can be spent on completely new games, plus we have this to play while we wait.

Each to their own. I suppose enough people in this very thread have shown that it's worthwhile. (And Dodo when he shows up too.) It's too fresh in my memory for me to want to buy it again, though.

But it really is a great game. Those who didn't have a Wii should get on it. And it does make me wonder about the relative power levels of the Wii and the 3DS: how much is this little beauty capable of?

Dodo won't be getting it because, it's probably for the best if you sit down for this part, he's traded his 3DS in for a Vita.

Oops. Ah well, I was surprised he bought a Nintendo console in the first place. Hope it makes him happy.

This is pretty sweet for me personally. I always wanted to play this but just never got round to it, i'd much rather play it on the 3DS now the options there
