The Last of Us delay confirmed

Postby IplayVideogames » 13 Feb 2013, 20:48

It's a shame but it means that we can all complete the games out in this month and the next before then.
I wish CVG would stop giving Peter Molyneux publicity

So that's how time works. The more you know. I just want this game, sooner would be better than later but as long as it's good it's worth it.

I'm alright with this really. I have exams all throughout May so it coming out in June means I'll have time to actually enjoy it without the stress hanging over my head

Same here. I'd rather have a finished product than wait for patches.

Definitely. I can't complain when developers delay games to improve their quality.

If they'd done that with ACIII...

Well no problem. June is a desolate month anyhow for games. And polishing it will be good.

Got my cheap Joel edition from Tesco already paid for so bring it.

Games are starting to spread nicely over the year for a change.

It's clear they're trying to keep the Autumn/Winter release schedule free for the big next gen games.

maybe the delay is caused by naughty dog focusing internally on a presentation for upcoming playstation meeting. ;)

typically june is as dry as the atacama desert for videogames, so with good marketing, usual naughty dog quality, and having little to no competition, it'll lead to a very successful game and encourage more publishers to spreadout releases, rather than focusing on the 3 month pre-christmas and 3-month pre-end-of-financial-year blitz.
