I'm sure they'll patch the AI at a later date.

Question is, which one of the 1,000,000 companies involved in producing the game will do it.

I experience this every time I play a CoD game.

On MW3, I managed to complete around 50% of the game (in SP mode only) without actually firing a single-shot!! Having Price, Soap and others as part of the SP team, they were immortal and never actually got killed during any of the missions. They would take shots to the head, body, legs and everywher, yet like some immortal heroes, they just stood up and eliminated all the threats in the area. I was just astounded......I was merely an observer in the game and not a player at all. It was very laughable....and tragic!!

Are you doubly sure? on a scale of 1-10 how sure?
How long has this game been in development? would have thought this would have been addressed sometime during quality control stages.
How long till they release a patch for the patch?

It wasn't a whole level though was it, im sure after the cut scene there would have been some sort of Boss fight with an Alien that escapes from a container during the Scuffle *Sooo predictable*

I love how the two characters with you mysteriously teleport in font of you when getting to a check point, will games ever eradicate that.

Sooo hands up who's buying this game...... :|

Johnkara, this is the unfortunate reality of the modern FPS blatantly exposed.
What a goddamn travesty that the alien franchise is so abused.

Where's Barry? Barry? This one's right up your alley. Go for it.

Probably not a good example but you can pretty much go through crysis 2 doing the same thing.

I'm not defending this game but come on, if you look hard enough you will find this kind of thing in most games.

This is fast turning into another duke nukem fiasco, a game where i ignored the daft reviews and found an enjoyable little gem.

Having said that, this is looking a little poor.

This is what I like to call the CoD effect which goes something like.....

MW Comes out and creates mass hysteria and sells millions..
MW2 comes out does even better and the MP is fresh and engaging...
Its at this point that every other developer/publisher thinks, "oh, that's made loadsa money lets make our game just like it!"

Thats been happening ever since. Just look at BF, Dead Space, Aliens etc etc

They all think we want all our games to be a turkey run like CoD's SP is.

There were 11000 gun related homicides in America in 2008, Japan had 6 gun related deaths in the same year. Does anyone know if they play videogames in Japan?

LMAO. Shocking. Somehow Gearbox don't seem to be as in tune with Aliens as they like to think.

I love how that every time a FPS game is s**t it's automatically CoD's fault

It's is COD's fault, very specifically. Watch this 6 min video to become informed:
