Another cool cover.

Any idea when CVG will be posting their review of the game Chris?

I have a funny feeling it will be another damning verdict on the game, most places seem to be giving it poor reviews.

Am still gonna get some enjoyment out of it, with co-op and the mulitplayer with friends though, plus just the geeky Alien fanboy in me going through the locales :D

I can't tell if it's looks good or just entertainingly naff.

Think it'll be one of those heavily flawed 6 or 7's that you enjoy way more than you probably should, bit like a Suda game.

I doesn't matter to me what the game is rated, I'll still get it and probably enjoy it. I predict the review will score about 6 or 7, or maybe 8 but that's pushing it.

I have faith that Gearbox can deliver the experience we've been waiting for all this time.

been playing Aliens most of the day. i was worried about the negative forum posts but thank god its actually pretty awesome! amazing atmosphere. the cutscene graphics seem to be old, they look worse than the ingame engine! thats my only gripe. the graphics, at times, especially during the sulaco escape level are very impressive! brilliant lighting.
If you can, play in 5.1. the soundscape is very impressive and adds 80% to the atmosphere IMO.

As far as the custom cover goes. the limited edition (preorder £37.99) has a really nice metallic sheen to it so it pips the custom cover somewhat.

Had my copy pre-ordered for a few weeks now, really looking forward to playing it (assuming it arrives tomorrow). Doesnt really matter to me if its the best game ever or just a big of rubbish fun. I enjoyed AVP despite its flaws, and have no doubt my love of the source material will be enough to make my purchase (£28 paid) worthwhile.

That what we all said about Duke Nukem.

Please CVG, I'm expecting very good things from you when Bioshock comes out. Please don't let me down!

Im always a bit dubious when reviews are under embargo until launch day. I really hope Im wrong a decent Aliens game would be great.

The custom cover is sweet.
