Wave Race 64 wasn't even that good really.

It needed to be said!

Ask CVG Anything: Is there a lack of innovation? Will next-g

Postby anime manga fan » 10 Feb 2013, 14:46

ok CVG i got a couple of questions :)

1) you think Sony will unify it's playstation store on their next console?

2)which console will be more powerful PS4 or XBOX 720 in your opinion ?

3)will next gen consoles be backwards compatible or are we gonna get gutted again (like on PS3)

4) Do you think timed exclusive DLC is good ?

5) who will the best exclusives next gen Sony or MS?

6) do you think square enix will ever release FFvs13?

cheers :P

You need to wash your mouth out !!!

As for a question what's the chances of us getting another proper Ratchet&clank game ? Not another co-op or tower defense one but a proper one. I know imsomniacs went multiplatform form but still !

Is it alright to be slightly aroused by anime manga fan's avatar?

Serious question though - What films would you like to see as games?

Not the rush job cash grabs that we only seem to get now, something more like The Warriors or Riddick. Obviously a Goonies game would be brilliant wouldn't it.

What game has caused you so much rage that you lost a good controller playing it?
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

"This is purely speculation, of course, but I think both will just adopt the online pass format already seen to unlock the online content in EA games, except this time it'll expand to the whole game. When you buy a game brand new you get a one-time code that you can enter to unlock access to the game. If you don't have the code, then you have to pay £5 for the unlock key instead. That way pre-owned games will still exist, but Sony, Microsoft and the game publishers will still get a cut from each successive owner. BOOOM - commerce."

Damn, this is actually good. It's definitely more likely than fully blocking pre-owned games. Cheers!

In that particular situation I think I'd pick a web browser so I can get at my email and find a way off the island. That might just be me, though.

Some good answers to the questions I posed - I just don't remember being there being that many bugs "back in t'day" perhaps its rose tinted glass etc, but I think I had more fun back then than I do now !

I have some questions:

How do you feel about established studios outsourcing projects / entire games to other studios to complete - such as Op Raccoon City ? Do you think it reduces quality, or a chance for lesser studios to make a name for themselves ?

Will we ever see a one console future ?

Will we ever see a Halo Wars 2 ? (hopefully)

Will we see a new "crash" where games become too expensive /complex that it will turn a lot of devs off creating them and consumers off from purchasing them ? Is it already happening ?

What has been the best (comfort, design, durability) controller you have used ?

I reckon it's because N64 games gave me a bit of a headache with how fuzzy they could be.

Plus rbt has a weird love for it and he can't ever be right, can he?

I like this feature, I nice to have a bit of dialog with you guys instead of just moaning about dodgy review scores.

Rob, I love Super Mario World too, but could it really be the only game you ever played again?

Also my knee jerk reaction to the wave race question would be it was a N64 tech demo for water effects that turned into a game......you never know.

@Barry- Well mag basically admitted he was in the other thread after I agreed with him !

It might well have just been a tech demo turned game but with a bunch of friends it's a hell of a racer since there's no set line through the water.

used game lock = no buy thats simple economics for you.

my dessert island game would have to be zelda: lttp for snes, i might have picked legend of legaia but i'd be in fear of the playstation laser stopping working long before i was rescued

hating companies just because they are big is wrong, hating ea because its a big company and misuses its position to screw its customers and interferes with the legitimate preowned market is absolutely right.

btw, is it right that ea have even done away with a digital manual in dead space 3 (along with pretty much every other aspect of the dead space franchise)

'I know many gamers like to air their hatred for the likes of EA and Activision on forums but in the grand scheme of things, we're actually not the 'masses', as you put it. Gaming is such a wide-ranging pastime now that the 'hardcore' gamers who post on forums and the like are now the minority -the masses are the people who happily play Call Of Duty, FIFA and the like without worrying about the politics of it.'

This shocks and saddens me as to how true it is. :(

Wave Race 64....Tech demo or the greatest racing game of all time?
It has dolphins in it too but don't let that cloud your judgement.
Even though it should.
Also, do you reckon Palace will get promotion this season?
My boy is convinced but I ain't so sure.
He loves Holloway but some of his tactics leave me somewhat perplexed.
He also has 3 daughters all of whom are deaf.
Now one deaf daughter can be deemed unlucky but all f**king three of them?
This man is a jinx!

I'd like a sequel to the Ghostbusters game that came out a couple of years ago. Failing that the dream film to game would definitely be a Die Hard made by Naughty Dog!
