This game looks like it is going to be an amazing new franchise and quite possibly fill the void that Resident Evil 6 should have filled.

I don't think this game needed zombies. I thought it looked more promising when it appeared to be just a straight up gritty survival story against humans, about people, family etc. The zombies look kind of silly and to my mind, damage the image the game has cultivated so far. Of course, proof is in the playing of the game I guess, just a bit disappointed. Zombies are so overused these days, thought this was going for a real unique hardcore approach.

each to their own i guess, i think the way the fungus is growing from holes in the human body is disturbingly brilliant and horrific! the noises they make in the new video are very atmospheric and dark too.

zombies done right, are some of the best and spookies adversaries made up by man IMO, and this is naughty dog here, they'll do it right, and then some!

i don't think you should worry when it comes to the human interaction/story side of things, look at the previous 3 uncharted games!

I had no idea this was a survival horror game, completely slipped me by that snippet of info. Even more excited now!

This is looking insanely good, the infected look disturbing as hell!
Possibly the survival horror i've been waiting for, for so many years. Looks like ND have got all the right ingredients for a classic!
Can't wait for March to try the demo, and ofcourse GOW:A :D

Very atmospheric - the use of lighting through the environment and torches is absolutely "spot-on" (excuse the pun).

Also, look at the facial animation and character movements - this game is charged with energy and desperation for survival - every image underlines man's need to survive the horror - one can physically see the emotional and physical exhaustion etched in their faces.

A work of art yet again Naughty Dog. Well done to all involved in crafting such a haunting masterpiece.

I like that the infection is organic. From the wiki:

"The concept for The Last of Us arose after watching a segment of the BBC nature documentary Planet Earth, which documented a cordyceps fungus-infected ant, where the fungus takes over its brain and producing growths from its head; the idea that the fungus could infect humans became the initial idea for the game."

I have no doubt they are going to make something definitive as opposed to derivative with this. Frankly i'd be rather shocked if they dropped the ball with this and made something sub-par. Looking forward to it.

The creatures in the game are not zombies. They are humans that have been taken over by a natural parasitic spore that is real and lives in our world currently. It does only attack ants in our world, but they adapted it to humans for the game.
