Great news, and shows the 360 has serious traction. The PS3 isnt far behind which is also good news, looks like the games industry is doing well all in all.

On another note i hope this story doesnt start another war! :) lol

Microsoft like to shout about numbers for everything but the one thing they always remain silent on is Gold Subscriber numbers. :?

The 360 has been a gigantic success, no-one can deny it. Xbox has gone from 3rd place new boy to a gaming front runner in just one generation, trebbling the number of consoles sold in doing so. I dont tend to use it much now, but I loved my 360 for a long time, and it is certainly one of my favourite consoles ever.

I never said it didn't have a large subscriber base, I just find it strange its the only thing they never talk numbers about.

Not bad numbers considering half of those are replacements for faulty consoles.

40 million xbox live accounts, so only 2.5% of those would need a gold account to have a million gold subs. Its in the millions, no question about it. BTW, im pretty sure Sony refuse to release numbers for PS+ subs, so swings and roundabouts. Id wager there are much fewer ps+ subs then there are xbl gold subs, due to the online gaming factor.

That pesky "OF" , my bad. I mean't many many many many Hundred Thousands. Which would put it in the millions...... I was just playing devils advocate, Alright?!

With more and more games getting online modes crowbarred into them I would be interested to see how many people actually value online enough to pay for it.
