Battlefield 3 End Game DLC adds Air Superiority mode

Postby LonDonE » 29 Jan 2013, 17:48

so glad to hear that air superiority will be in there, cant wait, i just hope since i love chopper whoring, that that mode will include a chopper an jets only mode, an not just jets! bf3 an dice nailed the dlc for bf3, so much money for value, funny how blops 2 has copied dice, even some of the blops 2 maps you can tell were inspired by bf3, an now they have guns in dlc in cod too? wtf? lol

Looking forward to the off road bikes more than anything else but i'm also hoping to see what they have in store for us regarding BF4 once this run of DLC is over. Really hope it's announced for next gen too with 64 man mp.

1942 was the s**t indeed Night! BF3 air controls are hellish. It's not that I don't understand them or can't use them or whatever, they're just clunky as f**k! I tried plugging in a 360 controller to test a theory - yup, instantly easy, designed for console controllers. They need a system so you don't have to drag the s**t out of your mouse, if they need a sort of "autoturn detect" thing, so the controls amplify/smoothen mouse movement or something because as it is, f**king hell!

the problem with Battlefield 3 and jets is that they are too difficult to control. The turns are too big and make dogfighting and ground attack difficult and no fun

Indeed! They need to make it so that the mouse keeps you turning until you stop it by gentle movements instead of having to batter the s**t out of your mouse and desk to turn. Works so much better on a controller sadly.

Tip: Go to your key bindings menu and change pitch up to SPACE.

Thank me later.

YEAH! Getting back into this in a big way. Tried to enjoy BlOps 2, I really did, but then I went onto BF3 again and, yup, it still sh*ts on CoD from the same great height.

I have a total of 179 points in fighter jets.

100 points of that was accidentally crashing into a chopper and blowing it up

The choppers are slightly better, but thats cos some times I sit in the gunners seat whilst someone who knows what they're doing flys it.

I have flown a transport chopper full of freshly spawned people directly into a mountain on Operation Firestorm. -5 TK in under 10 seconds.

I absolutely f**king hate flight in BF3, not because its bad but because I utterly suck at it.

So I'll be avoiding this DLC :(

Choppers were great in BF3 until they nerfed it by taking flares off the co-pilot. Planes well are just a bit numb and meh!

My gripe with the DLC is as good as Armoured Kill was the rest has been a bit, well, same as. For some reason in BF i don't care enough about new weapons (they largely mimmick the existing ones by either been epic or bloody awful, no in-between and little incentive to rank up) vehicles and dog tags to warrant me keeping it, a point compunded more by the fact that is has THE most ridiculously drawn out DLC schedule I can recall .

So it got sold, last week.
