Vigil was working on 'truly unique' game codenamed 'Crawler'

And so my faith in the industry takes another slap to the chops. Massive waste of a great IP and a very talented (and clearly passionate) bunch of developers.

Everything that was bought at the auction is pure crap (just your average bland generic games...). 'VIGIL / DARKSIDERS / CRAWLER' WAS THE ONLY THING THERE THAT WAS FULLY WORTH BUYING. They are one of the best developers in the world, keeping stylized art-driven adventure gaming alive, & I hope more than anything that they remain in existence. PLEASE BUY THEM SOMEONE!

"Crawler" could be Darksiders 3 frankly. Strife is the gun toting one, would rely on mobility, climbing and perhaps flight (he has an aerial look to him). They explored movement more in 2 with Death, why not.

It's aright shame darksiders 1 and 2 are both really kool games. Capcom should buy them least they would have 1 un ruined ip for the time being.

I can't believe I'm saying this but EA need to buy them.

They could put them in their creative partners programme like they have with the ex-infinity ward guys, Respawn Entertainment. and let them get on with making Darksiders 3 and Crawler.

I have spoken Blasphemy but as far as I can see this is the best option for Vigil.

Its whether EA have the guts to do it. Probably not.

Not sure if the Wii U release helped but pretty sure THQ said Darksiders 2 flopped or underperformed at least.

Sounds like it's a predominantly internet popular game. If that's true then it's not really surprising no-one picked up the Darksiders IP, still would've thought someone would've snapped up Vigil though

Metro, Dawn of War, and Stick of Truth are by no means whatsoever "bland generic games". In fact, DoW 2 has been criticised by some people for breaking away from many of the strategy game conventions.
