These guys won tonight.

Hopefully Metro now being in the hands of a smaller publisher gives the developers more leeway to do what they want.

I'm sure in another publishers hands it would have three campaigns, co-op, an online pass, disc locked content, microtransactions, day one DLC etc

These guys are probably better known to peeps as Deep Silver, Dead Island, Risen, Sacred are probably their best known IPs.

What about the rights for Saints Row IP, were they part of the package?

And did Sega get the Company of Heroes IP with the purchase of Relic? (I'd assume so, because THQ will cease to exist in a matter of weeks and Sega cancelling CoH 2 development at this point would be very unlikely).

Metro 2033 is one of the few real gems this gen has delivered, hopefully the sequel can be as good. Ive got my copy pre-ordered already.

I just hope Saints Row goes back to what was fun about SR2 and forget SR3 ever happened, that game was weak compared to it's buggy but fun as hell forebear. Never played Metro and it's a FPS so I probably wouldn't have played it either way, I'm FPS out at the moment BF3 gets all my FPS time. Here's hoping that the developers don't lose too many people because of redundancies.

Koch Media put out a press release confirming that they now possess the Saints Row IP as well:

So expect Company of Heroes 2 to be published by Sega...

Don't Sega own the Total War and Football Manager series too? If so that's a good trio of strategy game franchises.
