UK Chart: DmC Devil May Cry debuts at No.1

Glad to see Ninja Theory getting some recognition.
They've developed a couple of critically acclaimed games now but neither sold well. Now they've made a game that seems to have sold well.

I ordered mine on Saturday. Fantastic new take on a tired series and a job well done from a UK dev. Take note world! This is where the talent is.
Now playing - Trine 2 Director's Cut, Dino Crisis 2, Devil May Cry, The Cave

Seems a no brainer, as the competition has all been out for months.

It's been the first game in ages that I've wanted to play through again right after finishing. I'm currently going for the SSS rating on every level on Nephilim trophy. The Son of Sparda difficulty was kicking my arse.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

I've never played a DMC game, will I be totally lost if I buy this?

I hope Ni No Kuni gets up there in the charts when it releases in a couple of weeks. I can't see it though.

Yeah that's totally the problem with this game and not the p**s easy difficulty or the childish story and dialogues, no sir.

Same here. Finished it yesterday and wanted to get right back on it. Its absolutely brilliant. I just hope they bring Ninja Theory back for hopefully the inevitable sequel.

It's an origin story/reboot so you wouldn't really miss anything.

You do realise that now the game is out. People know you're talking out of your arse right. Son of Sparta difficulty is punishing, Hell and Hell is nigh on impossible.

If all enemies on hard and you die in one hit isn't hard enough for you then i doubt anything will be.

It will definately chart well for at least 1 week due to the fact its the 3rd highest pre-order on Amazon, considering most folk buy from the internet and places like shopto and amazon have it so high in their pre-release chart says this will be the case.

After 2 weeks however it will completely vanish as anyone who likes or wants it will have it bought asap so dont expect to see it often, good news is that it will drop in price for the folks on the fence i guess.

Speaking of DMC, i love the presentation, the graphics are lovely, its a total rip of shadows of the damned though in many ways and the camera and double jump with dash button placement sucks, i personally cant stand it so i highly doubt its going to get purchased until i see it for a tenner or something. Happy to see so many folk loved it though and glad something other than COD and FIFA is selling.

So what? Play on H&H difficulty like MONKEY suggests if you're in it for the challenge or is that too difficult for even the "true" DMC fans?
