Microsoft offering 800 Points for trying NOW TV

Postby FlawlessCowboy » 10 Jan 2013, 16:48

So do I not get the points until the end of the month? That's not really a problem, but I was about to buy some points and this would prevent me needing to do so.

According to the terms and conditions, you'll get them within 30 days of the end of the free trial. Presumably they wait to see if you pay for the next month and then process the 2400 Points if you did and 800 Points if you didn't.

You need an Xbox Live Gold Membership to view it through your Xbox. I can't see anything mentioned about the points on their website though :?

Funny how the cheaper Lovefilm and Netflix both come with complete boxsets of TV shows as well. Yeah, I think i'll pass. £15 is a bit steep for a month for movies only.
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

£15 a month is an incredible amount of money for what is essentially a pretty limited service. I think I'll stick with Netflix.

Definitely worth doing from what I can make of the T's & C's. 800 free MS points just for doing the free trial: No brainer. 1600 points (£13) for paying for a subscription at £8.99 per month and you can cancel after your first paid month, giving you £4 worth of MS points on top of the first 800?

Not bad at all. I cannot stand Sky, but I'll be signing up to this, for the free period at least.
Wha's in cherge?

MicrosoftPoints wrote:Seems rather promising, however, I think methods such as the free microsoft points guide at http://sanctual.com is a more reliable one as all you have to do is download the file and follow the simple eBook which is completely legit from how I've used. Sorry if I'm not allowed to post links, you may remove if required.

This is your first post eh? Well in the future you should probably peddle your scam elsewhere. Its not welcome here.

Did anybody miss this part?
You will be charged £8.90 for this service for the first 1 month(s) and £8.99 for each month thereafter.

So you've gotta pay £8.90 up front? Which to me looks like you don't get the MS points for free.

Where did you get that "quote" from? It doesn't say that anywhere in the article.
What it clearly says in the very first paragraph is
If you sign up for a free 30-day trial through Now TV's special Xbox site, you'll get 800 Microsoft Points added to your Xbox Live account.

When you put the code in to get the offer you get that message.

I was wrong. You do get that message but once you go through the whole thing you don't get charged.
