Since owning one at launch, I have never seen what the problem is with the battery. I always pop it on it's charging cradle when it's not in use. So it always has a full charge when I need it. And on a few occasions when I was playing Zombi U for a crazy amount of hours, I just plugged in the power lead. No different from last gen consoles. A lot of fuss over nothing.

Correct.

Because the controller has a massive screen you dont leave it around waiting for it to be knock over, you put it in the cradle and by magic it chargers

I do like the idea of a bigger battery but i think Nintendo have a nice weight with the gamepad and maybe a bigger battery increases the weight/ never mind cost.

One thing to note is a still havent charged my pro pad since 30th of november.

I can get by fine with what it has, it's a home console, not exactly a place where i'm short of charging options. And anyway, these batteries are never as good as they make out, the have a higher capacity but the batteries are usually rubbish and inefficient. It'll last longer, but not as long it makes out it should. See it all the time in smartphones, extended batteries that have a higher mAh rating but last less time than the orignal...

As was said above; pop-in the cable and carry on. Or have we all become cable-phobes?

Well, for your information a fully charged pad lasts about 3 hours. The time it takes to charge a dead battery is 2.5 hrs. Regardless of how much juice is left in the battery, it has a life of 500 charges. So every time you plug it in that's 1 less cycle in its life. I figured with my use, the battery would be dead by next summer.

This battery from nyko offering three times the juice is awesome and very much needed. At the rate you plug in your pad, you'd be lucky if the battery lasted you till the end of the year. I heard Nintendo already developed an extended life battery, but wasn't going to make it available till next year(probably hoping the demand would be high by then). I guess this puts a wrench in their plan.

 What I find amusing is that you assume I don't realise any of this.

Pop the AC adaptor in an extension lead, Balla.
