Hmm, my local store is hosting it on my birthday. Whats the chances I might get special treatment? Maybe an EA cake equipped with lensflare candles?
EA Sports: It's in the game(for a price).

i wonder if ea will allow game stores to play without having to sign up to origin and i'm pretty sure that they will be supplying game stores with free online passes so anybody attending one of these events isnt going to get a real chance to play what they will be buying.

We should all go to the same one with CVG t-shirts and flash mob them
Banjaxed:
..a term often used to describe incredible drunkeness. normally used in retrospect however in some prolonged cases of intoxication subjects have been found to admit to being "banjaxed."

Jesus, the poor staff. Its bad enough for them to have to work into the small hours at these "midnight launch events" populated by spotty youths who only know two games (Fifa and Cod) exist, and now they are going to have to work even more unsocialable hours with even more unsocialbale people. Yes I hate Game, but I do feel sorry for the genuine staff (and not the clueless ones).

If you like buying New games then stay away from Game. "New" isn't in their vocabulary.

Just start releasing demos or full release like EA sports pass for a few days so we can get a feel for the game.

Demos on XBOX LIVE suck balls.
We can't stop now, this is Bat Country!

Yeah, isn't this what demos are for? You can try out a game beforehand without having to leave the comfort of your house and spend time in a small space with sweaty, smelly people and If anyone farts you've had it! The fact a lot of companies don't release a demo (Codemasters Operation Flashpoint/Red River springs to mind) says a lot about the confidence the team have in the quality of their product without even having to play it. Just scrap the "Gold/Psn exclusive" demo crap and brign out more demos so everyone can play it at the same time and that way more people get to play your product, surely that is the point?

I don't see any problem with it.

If you care enough about DS3 that you want to play it ASAP then you'll sign up, if not then you just wait til the demo is released in on the 20th on PSN/XBL.

Or just to get sonic riled up :P, 360 gamers can get the demo on the 15th if they go here.

Sorry to break it you Sonic but my mate works for Game and the worst midnight launch he did by a mile was Halo, the true spotty kids direct from Games Workshop with fresh bio and an amazing knack of annoying the f**k out of anyone who cared to speak to them....... followed by FIFA
