GTA V: New screenshots show shark, submarine, aircrafts

Postby flyfletch » 24 Dec 2012, 10:14

Every screenshot and video released just makes me want this more and more!! Wish the PC version was released at the same time, i probably would have bought that, might even have considered the Wii U version if it had been released at the same time. Having the map and stuff on the pads screen would have been quite good for this.

Of course, this all depends on the Wii U doing a good version of it. Looks like im back to old faithful, my 360 :)

The shark looks a lot more intimidating than the ones in Far Cry. In that I'm not bothered about swimming, GTA might be different.

That Rottie looks so cool with its pink collar. All the other Rotties are probably calling him out.

I believe they are :) When i looked at screen 3 on full size i noticed a bit of low draw distance and the consoles old "Jaggies" Don't get me wrong, It looks amazing and i'm infact a little glad i found they jaggies, that means what were seeing Is the console versions and not some touched up shot from a computer running the engine.

The shots all seem to be 720p too which would add to it being a console picture, if you click on the photo then click again on view full size image, take a look at the building with the crane on it, you'll see the jaggies then and notice a bit of a weak draw distance in the insides of the building under construction, you can see more console like shadows and textures on the big jet itself, i'd imagine if this was some kind of pc version the textures would have been higher, they also look like they've been downscaled for the console, meaning the texture itself was a bit more clearer to begin with but devs have put it down (Kind of like what Bethesda done with most of their textures in Skyrim)

I'm totally getting this for my PS3 if theres no PC version announced by the time it comes around, but i love the Sub, Can't wait to drive one using a FPS camera mod

Looks amazing every new shot I see.

Scuba, Mini Sub, and someone flying what looks to be a large passenger or freight plane!!

You're lucky there's no chance of Balla looking at this story, because even he'd groan at that one!

This game is going to be seriously seriously impressive, and what's great is they're bringing the fun and craziness back which is what was missing from GTAIV. Still a fun game but too serious.

I feel quite the opposite, it feels as though it is going for quite a realistic feel (despite jets flying through a city that low).. But yeah, I dont know, obviously its got some fun stuff and whatnot..

But, ahh.. I dont know. Hard to explain.
