The War Z pulled from Steam as Valve calls release 'a mistak

Fantastic! The devs have come across as some arrogant pillocks so if they won't take action at least Valve will sort them out.
Genius behind Niptendo (TM pending)

I distrust patriotism; the reasonable man can find little in these days that is worth dying for. But dying against - there's enough iniquity in Europe to carry the most urbane or decadent into battle.

players "misread information about game features"

No. No. No. We read it correctly, it was the developers that outright lied. I hope after this Valve will test content more rigorously in future.

How can someone "misread" the information on Steam about the game? We didn't misread it at all, you MISLED us into thinking that the product was sold as advertised, which is wasn't. Which is in clear Violation of trading standards. Now steam are the ones who have to pay up for your mistake.

The single map is in fact about 10 square km, just so you know.

And micro transactions for in game items are annoying in themselves, but losing them permanently when you die is.. hmm.

Especially if you can be confusingly killed by a homicidal floating back pack seconds after spawning in.

Which happens.

I made the same mistake, and kept dying just simply by walking down a hill. It's a bug riddled mess. The shop is also a scam, if you die you drop all your equipment and it's effectively lost forever. Wish they told me that before I paid extra.

Awaiting my refund.

Rather than still be mad, let's at least be happy that those who bought the game can at least get their money back and know Steam at least is willing to help.
