Stop right there. Can you explain how a title such as as BF3 is so fundamentally different between PC and consoles although, even though the title is the same the game is light years apart when physics doesnt even come into it at all?
Can you identify with head-tracking functionality which allows a racing/flight simulator enthusiast to use a non linear view to enhance the experience of realism?
Do consoles have the range of peripherals available to enhance and create a realistic platform of any description, be it air, land or sea?....even to the extent of having multiple android and ios apps readily available to enhance and assist?
In my opinion, all those examples change the gameplay considerably, perhaps you havent experienced them or are even aware they exist?
Lets look at the text within the thread title. ..'essentially identical' - that means it isn't the same at all? right?
Is a chinese copy of an iPhone 5 'essentially the same' as the real thing?
If it was, the everyone would all have chinese variant iFone 5's and 'Ferrero' Enzo's, because they're 'just the same'.
