That was my favourite bit, gave me a chuckle anyway.
brownboy90 wrote:Well when the Wii was released over 6 years ago the world wasn't in a recession. Home consoles will suffer especially at £299.. So I think when you put it into perspective, even though it's down on the Wii... times are much much different and so too is the price tag. People 6 years ago had more money to spend on a cheap machine. As opposed to today where people have little to spend on an expensive machine. Sales will of course be lower.

the actual figures released were
• GBC: 155,774
• NGP: 21,471
• DC: 101,490
• WS: 102,655
• PS2: 630,552
• GBA: 611,504
• WSC: 145,975
• NGC: 133,719
• Xbx: 123,929
• NDS: 441,485
• PSP: 166,074
• 360: 62,135
• PS3: 88,443
• Wii: 371,936
• 3DS: 371,326
• PSV: 321,407
so in fact the wii u had the third highest home console launch behind only the two most successful home consoles in the wii and ps2.

I have bought every Nintendo console since the nes but I just cant bring myself to get a WiiU. It just all seems a little gimicky and under powered. When the next generation hits its going to be the same excuse from developers that they used with the Wii and say its too under powered to develop for. Although my opinion could change when I see the new Zelda.
