For crying out loud man, just give us Mirrors Edge 2 already.

No-one cares what an EA suit has to say otherwise.

With respect Battlefield is hardly 'well-established' it has 3 main games and several off-shoots of which I would argue only BF3 has done good numbers and is a great game.

However would be good to see Dice getting into other stuff too.

And a new Desert Strike.

why would DICE do road rash?

clearly it should go to stable mate criterion. the bikes in burnout paradise were surprisingly amazing, and i loved redline racer back in the day, a motorbike game by criterion.

anyway, i 'd have thought it was EA pushing for more BF, and DICE wanting to try something different, not the other way around.

I disagree. It's pretty well established. BF 1942 (released in 2002), BF Vietnam, BF 2, BF 2142, then the Bad Company spin offs, and finally BF3. Bf2 sold 1 million copies in its first month of release in 2005 and after a year had sold 2,225,000 copies. Pretty good numbers if you ask me.

Some of the most popular and greatest games on PC. It's a very well established franchise.

Yeah sorry i meant more EA generally doing Road Rash, DICE are perhaps not well suited.

The name is established for sure but the numbers are hardly stellar, BF3 is the first one to do the big numbers that truly establish a franchise like Halo, COD, FIFA, most Mario incarnation etc. Fact is this speaker is talking like DICE are in this realm, they ain't.

I played Test Drive Unlimited 2 the other day and thought it was a bit crap but driving through Ibiza on the beautiful hilly roads didn't half remind me of Road Rash. That game does indeed need to be remade.

Bad Company 2 did sell really well though, 9 million copies by mid-2011.

There aren't many games that reach those kinds of sales. BF3 did better still, 12 million in the first couple of months, if I remember correctly.

I'd like DICE to continue the good ol' warfare (modern, of course...) theme, but make a new game with more strategic and also air and naval combat elements.

Preferably not on Frostbite 2 either should it happen on current consoles.
